I am having the same issue. When trying to desktop connect to a Lion 27" iMac, the iMac login screen freezes. I have to ssh into the machine, and perform a reboot.

I have confirmed that the issue is strictly related to my recent upgrade to Mac OS 10.7 (Lion). My iPad can still connect just fine to the other machines on my home network which are still running 10.6, but for my 10.7 machine I cannot see the machine show up in the local network option, and when I try connecting through my 'saved' list I either get no error message at all, or I get "failed to connect".
I think the comments in the App Store that list this product as compatible with Lion are misleading. I'm looking for at least an ackowledgement of the issue, which I have yet to see from your support site. Please look into this issue immediately.

SUGGESTION 2: In " Desktop Connect " application please enter the following login credentials information for your Mac OS X Lion computer:
User Name: Put your MAC OS X user name. [ To get username please check the name of your " Home Directory" in your Mac computer. To check "Home Directory" click the Finder icon in the Dock of your Mac computer. Check your home directory name—the one with a house icon. ]
Password: Put your MAC OS X password for the MAC OS X user name above. The password which you use to login into your Mac computer.

Thanks for the suggestions Andy. I am embarrassed to admit this, but after the upgrade I didn't go back and verify the Screen Sharing setting was still enabled. For whatever reason the upgrade to Lion disabled this option. I followed both suggestions and this fixed my issue. Thanks for reminding me to check the sharing settings.

Andy, I have a PDF related problem with Desktop Connect Pro in OS X Lion. In Snow Leopard I was able to View, Preview and download PDF files to my iPad. In Lion all PDFs that I View, Preview or import give me a grey screen. It took me a while to boil it down to Desktop Connect Pro. I initially suspected that the problem is with GoodReader but I was able to exclude that possibility. That the problem is related to Lion I determined by going back to my Snow Leopard backup.

I am able to connect to Lion; however, I cannot control the screen even though the settings for screen share are correct and I'm able to control my other non-lion machines. I can navigate around the screen, but I cannot select anything on the screen even if I use any of the three mouse button settings, etc. Desktop Connect Pro is set properly to allow for control. Please let me know what to do.

I can use Desktop Connect with Lion, except at the login window. If I try to type a password, nothing happens in the app, and I get a spinning beach ball on the computer screen. I don't have this problem with VNC Viewer.

Hello, I am having the same problem as Thomas Freeney. I was having problems controlling the desk top on my computer (which has two 32 inch screens) using my ipad2. Now that I have sat down with the computer next to me and tried I see that the curser on the iPad is not in the same place as it is on the screen. In fact when I am on the left screen on there iPad, the curser on the computer is moving on the right screen. So what looks like a problem clicking on an object or a menu is really a problem controlling the curser accurately across screens. HELP!!!

I've noticed another symptom. I can get the login to work if the currently logged-in user logs out. In my opinion, that's no longer "screen sharing." It seems as if it's treating a Desktop Connect user as completely separate. If I do successfully connect and login, then later on after I've disconnected and when the computer tries to sleep, it will go into an endless sleep/wake cycle that only goes away when you restart the computer. I've had this happen to me on two computers running 10.7.1. It's as if there's been a fundamental change to screen sharing with Lion that needs to be addressed.

If you have dual monitors for your Mac OS X Lion computers then you will encounter a ouse control issue. This is not an issue of Desktop Connect application. This is an issue of Mac OS X Lion computer's screen sharing feature with dual monitors. You can test this issue on any other remote iOS desktop application.
Our team has filed a bug related to it to Apple Inc.

I use VNC auth, I have set up the easy connect settings all over again, I have checked my port forwarding ,and set up the sys. pref. for sharing according to the guidelines. And yes, of course both my devices are on the same network.
Still not able to log in after I connect. The key strokes wont register after a few seconds (mind you this worked perfectly well while I ran Snow Leopard). Going to turn on automatic log in and see if that helps.

I have tested this in several other application (logmein, teamviewer, screens, etc) and no other app displays this problem. This is a problem with desktop connect - not Lion. Please let me know that you have received this and are working for a solution. I am not going to leave a negative review as long as I know you are working towards a solution to this. But, Lion is definitely not the problem here.

Please try the below suggestion:
To solve your dual monitor screen mouse cursor issue: an admittedly sub-optimal workaround is to go to System Preferences > Display > Arrangement, and make sure that the primary display is to the top and left of all other displays. A screen shot is attached.
Andy, this doesn't really solve my problem too well since my monitor is on the left hand side of my iMac.
Do you have any type of ETA of when this problem might be fixed? I really am not wanting to switch to another app but I really need access to my desktop. Still love your app the best! :)

I'm also having the problem with dual monitors (Mac Pro running Lion) - and changing the primary display to be top left isn't practical for me either.
Other VNC clients that I have do not experience this problem, so I'll add my agreement that this is NOT a Lion problem (or at least, if this is new behavior in Lion, other VNC client vendors have been able to handle it).
Can you please escalate this internally? It's a MAJOR issue for me. I far prefer Desktop Connect than my other VNC clients, but this is a show-stopper for me.

I do have to wonder if this is being dealt with or not. It has been several months now and no updates or nothing. No comments from Antecea on this. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. I purchased Desktop Connect and loved using it for the longest time. Then, once the OS changed, Desktop Connect did not upgrade their product like others did. Again, Teamviewer, Logmein and others DO NOT have this problem. Only Desktop Connect. So, it is still not a Lion issue. It is a Desktop connect issue.
Can we please hear back from someone just to know that you are either working on the situation or are not?

I also have the multiple monitor problem. Originally it was happening after a Desktop update which meant I lost the ability to log into my Lion machine, so I upgraded to Cloud Connect Pro in the hopes that the bug wouldn't be there. I've been waiting a long time for this to be rectified and would appreciate an ETA on the fix. I'm now using Logmein, but would prefer to go back to CCP.

Just chiming in as yet another person who can't use desktop connect because of the multi-monitor issue. I've also tried out Ninja Desktop and it shows a very similar issue (when it manages to stay connected). In the Ninja case it gets confused regarding the position of my first and third monitor, transposing them.

I've been pretty down on Antecea, but I heard from them today that Snow Leopard 10.7.3 fixes the problem. Sure enough, I tried Desktop Connect against my Mac Pro that I had just installed 10.7.3 on, and it worked as expected. REALLY glad to have this finally fixed (even though it seems it wasn't Antecea's bug in the first place - though other VNC clients seemed to work around the problem somehow).
Anyhow - I now have a working system again - Hallelujah!!!
